30+ EPA-certified technicians covering NYC and the Tri-State area. Led by a team that has been doing this work since before most of our competitors existed.
Every MICO technician carries EPA Section 608, F60, and G60 certification and undergoes ongoing training on the commercial equipment brands we service. When one of our techs shows up at your restaurant, they're not reading a manual. They know your equipment, and they know how to fix it. We don't send apprentices on solo calls. Every tech in the field has been through our internal standards program and carries the certifications to prove it.
Helen founded MICO Cooling Corp in 1983 and has led the company through four decades of growth — from a refrigeration service operation to one of NYC's most trusted commercial equipment companies. Her commitment to technical standards and client accountability defines how every person at MICO approaches the work.
Gunnar leads MICO's engineering and project work, overseeing installations, system design, and complex equipment projects. His technical depth ensures that every job is scoped correctly and executed to spec — from new equipment commissioning to multi-site infrastructure upgrades.
Steffen oversees MICO's day-to-day operations, technology infrastructure, and service delivery. He works closely with major accounts to ensure service programs run at the highest level — and drives the systems that keep a 30+ technician operation coordinated across the entire metro area.
Suzanne manages client relationships and the people side of the business. She ensures that every account gets consistent, attentive service — and that the team doing the work is supported, trained, and treated right. She's often the first call when a client has a question and the last word on how we handle it.
Steve manages MICO's financial operations, contracts, and business development strategy. His work keeps the company positioned to take on large government and multi-location commercial accounts — and ensures the financial infrastructure matches the scale of what MICO delivers in the field.
Jennifer manages MICO's service operations end to end — from dispatch and scheduling to technician coordination and client follow-through. She's the operational center of the service department, and the reason jobs close on time with the documentation clients need.
Jeff leads MICO's sales and business development efforts, working with restaurant chains, facility managers, and procurement teams across the metro area. He builds the service agreements that keep multi-location clients covered — and knows the commercial kitchen industry well enough to have the right conversation with anyone in it.
MICO is always looking for experienced, certified commercial equipment technicians who want to work for a company that invests in their development and treats them professionally.
We offer competitive pay, manufacturer training programs, and a consistent workload — including long-term contracts with major restaurant chains and government clients. We believe the people who show up at a client's restaurant at midnight to fix a walk-in cooler deserve to work for a company that respects what they do.
